WCS Collarum
CollarumOn 1st October 2009 the Collarum canine capture device was approved for use on foxes. We have tested this device ourselves and and will offer an alternative to live catch trap. The Collarum is designed to capture foxes by throwing a cable loop over their head and around the neck. The end of the capture loop is anchored in the ground and the fox is held like a dog on a chain. It is unique in several ways. This trap is much safer to utilise in areas where people, pets and other domestic animals may come in contact with it. An unknowing human springing the Collarum is at little risk. Animals other than foxes are very unlikely to be caught by this device even if they spring it, and captured domestic dogs can be released with no harm done. Unlike cage traps which are large, bulky, and difficult to conceal, the Collarum is light, compact, and easy to hide. This gives it distinct advantages for pest controllers in high visibility areas. The Collarum has also proven its effectiveness in capturing animals that won't approach a cage trap or tolerate the close approach of humans. This is an introductory price and will rise in the future. The Collarum trap comes with: w/Relaxalock The cost is significantly higher than the first two batches as these were subsidised by the manufacturer and importer. The new price reflects the poor US exchange rate, import duties, VAT, shipping and storage. Collarum Anchor Kits - SpirafixThe Collarum anchor kit comprises of one spirafix anchor for the cable and two 9" pins for holding down the Collarum device itself. Collarum Anchor Kits - Angle Irom AnchorThe Collarum anchor kit comprises of one angle iron anchor for the cable and two 9" pins for holding down the Collarum device itself. Collarum 9" Anchor PinsTwo steel 9" galvanised pins for holding down the Collarum. |
